CFAA TEAM LEAD

Work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure all services provided meet or exceed customer expectations and develop and implement strategies for growth and profitability, while ensuring that all services provided meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with local, provincial, and national fire codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the team that maintains and repairs fire, security, and life safety systems for commercial, industrial, and residential clients,
    ensuring compliance with regulatory codes and standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Leading a team of service technicians to ensure they are meeting service and repair targets.
  • Ensuring that technicians have the necessary tools, equipment, and training to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
  • Monitoring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations related to fire protection and life safety.
  • Providing technical assistance to the service team, as needed.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality control processes to ensure customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of technician vehicles ensure safety, maintenance and compliance with company vehicle policy.
  • Review schedules and technician efficiency.
  • Respond to customer questions/concerns as needed.
  • Assist coordinators with technical questions and scheduling decisions as needed.
  • Successful candidates for this position typically have CFAA Certification along with several years of experience in fire protection and life safety systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details, such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.
  • Follow local and national security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CFAA License
  • Ability to work within London and the surrounding areas.
  • Prior experience with monitoring systems, emergency lighting systems and security systems preferred.
  • Siemens and/or Mircom ESD experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude & strong work ethic.
  • Customer oriented mentality.
