Job Description:

We are seeking a Security/Low Voltage Technician. Our best technicians work with minimal supervision to carry out their daily duties with a high level of completion.  They effectively plan and schedule their day for optimum productivity and high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to install low voltage commercial/residential Fire Alarm and Burglar Alarm electrical installations based on blueprints and local code compliance.
  • Performs scheduled and/or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment/systems under contract agreement by inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, and calibrating systems and ensuring equipment is in excellent working order.
  • Completes maintenance within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving the goal of zero call backs.
  • Assists with the start-up of new equipment or system installation and adjusts as needed to ensure the system is fully functional.
  • Perform work assignments in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
  • Maintain company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; handle proprietary information in the prescribed manner; adhere to and support all safety requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry changes and new developments in products and technology.
  • Attend and complete training programs as requested.
  • Present a professional appearance and maintain a clean, orderly, and professional vehicle image.
  • Availability for a rotating emergency call schedule.
  • Service and inspection of security alarm systems.
  • Ability to install and service analogue CCTV systems.
  • Ability to install and service small access control systems.
  • Vehicle and vehicle inventory maintenance.
  • Design, layout, program and install all company supported security alarm systems, access control systems, analogue CCTV and basic IP systems.
  • Installation and service of wandering patient systems and nurse call systems.
  • Serve as the Lead Technician on inspection with responsibilities for onsite junior technicians.
  • Design, install, service and program addressable security systems.
  • Troubleshoot and service all systems, displaying working knowledge of networks as they pertain to security systems.
  • Train junior level technicians to enable growth for the individual and company.
  • Responsibilities may not be limited to those of the job description.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Business Administration Diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • 2+ years of work experience in related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and high level of computer proficiency.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to multi-task in a high paced environment.
  • Scheduling experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and team player!

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Physically able to install system hardware and wiring.
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time.
